There's This Girl...
So, what am I?
I'm a girl.
Oh, you want more?
1) Well, I guess I'll start at the top. The hair. My obituary begins: "Laura was a girl. Whose hair color changed. Often." Invariably, it's never the same color as it was the day before.

I apply my personality in a paste.
I like to think it changes according to my mood. It doesn't. It changes according to my laziness. It takes too much maintenance. As a result, it's variably in a stage of fading - always verging on blonde.
But, in my head, it's a mood stripe. And that's all that counts.
2) I am prone to wanting what I can not have, and not wanting what I can.
3) I have a strong aversion toward any type of 'social/human progress' or technology, and fear the world is treading quickly towards the likes of George Orwell's fictional world of 1984.

~"A paradox:" I am at once paradox, a contradiction, a hypocrite...or so I've been labeled by many. I'm accepting of that, although I wish it weren't so. Oh, in addition, I'm uncategorizable and I hate labels. I am what I please when I please. And that is all. At times I may behave geeky, gothy, lamely, nerdy, retro, bubbly, shyly, etc., but at no time am I "a geek" or "goth" etc. I am a little bit of everything, but not all of anything.

6) I also like to dance badly, lingering on awkward high-kicks - as long as no one was watching. I love to sing badly, as long as the crowd is thoroughly drunk. I’m addicted to Karaoke. I have over 1,500 songs. Some say I'm a Broadway Baby at heart. But most just say I'm an imbecile. I love to surround myself with anything autumnal. Even on April 13th. I become addicted easily.

So, I guess that's it. Maybe I should give some more tangible details? I'm a corporate drone. I write business correspondence for an insurance company. I have written over 20,000 letters in my lifetime. I hate my job. I live in eastern Pennsylvania. I graduated from college, but am going back to become certified to teach English. I had the best dog ever. But he died. I had the nastiest cat ever. But she died. I drive a Saturn and wear chucks. I sleep in a feather bed that constantly emits tiny down feathers. I wake every morning looking like a very sleepy, angry and bedraggled angel - with feathers protruding from the most awkward of places. I once lived in a mansion. I once took part in a midnight graveyard dance party. I am newly obsessed with royal blue mascara.
I am in love. To a sickening degree. The man I love, well - he's the best.
I call you 'Dude' or "Oh,..you!" If I don't know your name. I make up words to suit my own linguistic needs.
My friends/family/combination there-of are my life.
I err on being ‘chronically verbose.’ (Could you tell?)
I have no fear of making an ass of myself. In fact, I embrace it.
I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.
My whole existence rests on being amused. That's why I'm here.
